The Dutch social events and some business life is rather informal and sports
clothes is generally quite acceptable. The Dutch are a friendly race of
people, only too happy to make contact with strangers, especially polite
strangers!
Strictly speaking, serious business is conducted in rather a
conservative and formal manner. A good suit obviously makes a better first
impression that sneakers and jeans. | Drugs Unfortunately Amsterdam has a very bad reputation with the use of drugs. This is unfortunate and personally I can do nothing to change this attitude except give my own personal opinion. Now I know many of you, whatever your age, whatever you say, are going to try the drugs in Amsterdam, whatever I say. Stupid, stupid, stupid, because you will spend your entire trip stoned out of your little head and see nothing of our wonderful city except the coffee shops. By the way, don’t confuse coffee shop with a quick stop to drink coffee, this is what we call the shops selling hash, etc. Also a little tip for you, hash and marijuana is much much stronger in Amsterdam than anything you might be used to, so take care and if you must do this, take only a few tokes and avoid at all cost, pills, hash-cookies and it goes without saying, hard drugs. So I am going to link you to the one safe coffee shop in Amsterdam and do your worst. BUT don’t even think of lighting up a joint in Clemens as if I have to warn you twice, I personally will throw you and your baggage outside and you will not get a refund. I hate the odour, the smell is difficult to get out of the drapes so you will also pay the dry cleaning cost and why should the rest of the hotel get stoned along with you? Yup, the smell is so strong we can all partake and that answer is No! www.bulldog.nl |
